Great Braxted Parish Council
Great Braxted Parish Council is made up of five elected councillors, each serving a four-year term. The Council represents the interests of the local community and works to maintain and improve the quality of life within the parish. Councillors are volunteers who give their time to support local services, consider planning applications, manage parish assets, and act as a voice for residents in discussions with Maldon District Council, Essex County Council, and other organisations.
The Council looks after a range of village amenities, including the cricket field, playground, outdoor gym equipment, benches, bins, and fencing, as well as the much-loved antique village pump on Bung Row. It also manages the maintenance of hedges, trees and boundaries around the parish.
Council meetings take place on the second Tuesday of every other month. Meetings are held in the Village Pavilion and begin at 8.00 pm. Residents are warmly invited to come along and take part. Agendas are published at least three days before each meeting on the village notice board and on this website.
