Official Opening of The Braxted Pavilion

The Pavilion Management Committee was delighted to celebrate the Official Opening of The Braxted Pavilion on Saturday, 27th September 2025.

This wonderful community facility has been refurbished to provide an economically sustainable and welcoming space for local groups, events and activities. The opening event was a great success, with an excellent turnout from residents and friends of the village.

Speeches were given by Pavilion Management Committee Secretary, Sarah Mann, and Chairman of the Parish Council, Cllr Richard Collins, before the Pavilion was officially declared open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by Cllr Richard Siddall of Maldon District Council.

Guests enjoyed light refreshments, ice creams for children, and the opportunity to explore the new Pavilion and its facilities. A highlight of the day was a special visit from Baloo, the Crufts Hero Dog of the Year, who proved a big hit with everyone in attendance.

It was a memorable day and a wonderful way to mark the beginning of a new chapter for the Great Braxted community.
